The main things I'd like to see in a new version of MFS:

Cyclic trim for helicopters

A map/info display that doesn't freeze the main simulation to avoid having to write down ILS centerlines, frequencies etc.

Even better would be auto-tune/setup course, nav and comm for a nominated runway approach selectable from a nav display whilst flying.

An updated MS Concorde with retractable visor and an autopilot that can cope with Concorde approach speeds.

Some modern high performance jets to extend the trend started with the WW2 piston-engined fighter in FS2002.

An easy way to save and recall customised windows layouts for individual aircraft (eg GPS and other sub-windows on a second monitor).

i don't know what has already been covered by other posters  cos i didn't took the time to read all this five pages but anyways, heresmy littttle wish list

1- improved flight planner, that lets you plan connections and waypoints and gives you more freedom

2- an on-board flight map that doesn't require you to pause the game too look at it

3- an atc window that gives you NAV frequencies as well

4- an atc log, with all the communications between you and the tower so if you forget something, you can go and look

5- flexing and shaking wings on all planes

6- improved camera movement on spot view

7- dynamic pilot head positioning , dvc eyepoint will move reacting to the aircraft's motion, inertia and g forces

8- taxi and landing lights that actually illuminte, instead of whiting out everything

9- progresive taxi that gives you instructions progressivelly, not just pink arrows

10- ground crew, the airports seem a little dead, i'd like to see tractors pushing the plane back and luggage carts, the whole nine yards

i think that's it
i'll stop talking so you can start working ;D

Active Camera fixes most of the camera gripes, and it is freeware and well worth the time it takes to download. Secondly, if there were beta testers here, they wouldn't be allowed to acknowledge that they are; people from MS do, believe it or not, browse FS forums. If the truth is known, that is probably how the whole interactive virtual cockpit idea was spawned along with a great many of the others. Think about it. A lot of major things that have been griped about by enough people have been added to or fixed in this version, and several things people have mentioned in this thread are in COF  and then some, I'm sure. I don't mean to be rude, just telling what I know.

USAF, I AM NOT (though I wish I was), regardless of what you may think, a beta tester. You can read about this crap on the FS insider site. Acitve Camera is available here,
http://www.simviation.com/fs2002utilities_ess1.htm
. BTW, beta testers, as mentioned before, are not allowed to reveal themselves.

My one concern would be what happens at the airports.

Like there should be luggage moving, cars, fire engines, steps going up to planes or them tubes going into the terminal.

So basically giving you a reason to fly commercially! ;D

hi,

I would like to send Transponder-Codes like 7000 etc.
(Emergency or Hi-Jack etc)

In Fs2002 such codes are simply ignored

Bye

It isn't possible to declare an emergency in FS. You will just have to use your imagnation like I do.  ;D

The ablity to declar emergencys, I think they are putting in, Really, your engine isnt running, and they tell u to "go around," I think FU and land anyway! Also, Civilan Airplane landing at Airforce Bases, NOT RIGHT!!!

Emergencies would be more realistic than ignoring the ATC, but I'd be happy if they chaged the sky colour above FL600 as it's meant to get darker the higher you fly.

But as long as I'm able to keep building aircraft using FSDS2 I'm happy.

4- an atc log, with all the communications between you and the tower so if you forget something, you can go and look

This you can already get openig the electronic tablet (f10)
and cick on the headphones button.

This brings directly on a request: a more extensive "how to" section.  Or why not by ourselves create an FS2004 how to forum here ?

Most of my requests are already on the thread, I mainly support all about  more alive airports with ground vehicle, staff, passengers traffic.

More "crowdy" air traffic shared on the several // runways on big airport and assigning your approach and speed accordingly.

What nobody aked her yet:
Solve the mess in the varius keyboards definitions.

The best would be having all references to the key dynamicaly linked to the current keyboard layout set in windows CP.

The correct would be having all references to the key  linked to the language of your flight sim program.

The just acceptable would be
Keep all references stuck to the US QWERTY keuboard and let the "small remaining of the world" make the mapping with his own shitty' keyboard layout.

But PLEASE dont let it as it is : sometimes Linked to the QWERTY, sometimes linked to your flight sim version and sometimes linked with ????

(I still could not find how to arm the automatic spoiler before landing ???)

About keyboard, when the mouse cursor is above an active switch or knob, there is an info tag telling what it is. That's fine but adding  the current keyboard shortcut would be feven better.

Add 'Chase View' to the rotation of view.  Sure would make aerobatics fun!
