The problem with autorudder is if you have a joystick that's a bit fidgety with the ailerons, you're gonna be all over the place when taxiing (my problem with my logitechs).

Rudder pedals cost mo' money (a good set is in the hundreds), so if you're on a tight budget, your best bet is a twist-handle joystick from Saitek or Micrososft.

Interesting. That's the same problem I had with Logitech sticks. Way too sensitive. I replaced my Logitech with the X-45 though and certainly like it. Price was a little cheaper than my Logitech and it uses a paddle for rudder control. You can also use the rotary on top of the throttle. I find that much better. Since it stays in place I can even use it as a rudder trim in helos and to overcome the exaggeration of torque in the sim.

No is not hard...IT IMPOSSIBLE  ;),i consider that when you are playing with a keyboard only, thats when it converts into a hard game, with a joystick or homemade VC are more like a simulator

I found the keyboard controls quite slow responsive wise, but maybe i was just pressing the wrong buttons, as i only do it if i have my joystick somewhere else. So instead of buying the whole schpiel with pedals and everything, i just got the cadillac of joysticks, with twist for rudder and everything.  It rumbles too, so I think i'm good with it for quite a whlie.
