Thanx for replying Matt... no, problem seems to confined to FS9. Saitek suggested ctrl+shift hold during FS9 startup, followed by a flight reset, but it didn't work. Just tried reinstalling saitek again and noticed this time that during calibration and testing the red field doesn't always quite reach the top in the throttle section. I think I should probably just return this sucker, even tho' it is odd that it not only fails to deliver in FS9, but not every aircraft in FS9 is affected. All the default birds that I haven't flown yet, like the C182 for example, go right on up past redline when I push the throttle up to its stop or increase power with the keyboard. I mean, 100% is 100%, no matter what the aircraft. The throttle mechanism isn't calling out rpms to the sim, it's saying "I'm at such-and-such a percentage; interpret that as you will for the model". Oh well. For now I guess I could fly the C182 or something.
Glad to hear it wasn't serious about the car (and you gotta love those blessings in disguise, like the oil sensor thing).
