Well done. Installing a complete aircraft should be easier. Try one & tell me how you get on.

Scrub that last message,i just done it,at last.

Idiot me decided to not extract folder contents, instead i was just opening instead of extracting all the folder.

Anyway done it now........and have all re-paints i want.

Now i need to have a look how hard is to download and install NEW aircraft.

Thx m8.

AHA!! Somehow I knew it... but didn't see your OP in time.
That's a very common error, as XP will auto-unzip for you, but only for viewing, not for working with sub-files.
Another common boo-boo: not looking for the "folders inside folders"... often these add-ons come nestled in layers of folders (Name> FS9>Aircraft>Name> Texture>Repaint)... using the sidebar window as Hagar suggested helps avoid that one.

Well i have comeback from work this evening and decided to have a go at getting a Fokker 70,downloaded it,then folowed Hagar's instructions of his Grumpy Lair site, and i am very pleased to say i have managed to do it 1st attempt.

I feel very proud of myself, cos i thought maybe it would be harder.

Also had a quick flight on the Fokker and really enjoy it,although i think i need a panel cos cockpit is same as the 737.

Anyway,no real problem,am very happy bunny now.

Thx Hagar

That's great. Glad to help. I should point out that I didn't write that installation tute. Thanks go to our webmaster for that one.

The Panel.cfg is probablly aliased to use the b737_400 panel. My Aliasing article explains how it works. Have a look round for a more suitable 3rd party panel. It should be no problem to replace it.

Well it couldn't go perfect for me everytime could it.

Cannot work out the adding of a panel for the Fokker100.
Downloaded, and opened up evrything, and followed instructions as to putting Modules,Panels,Sound, and Textures into the corresponding folders, but i still have 737 panel.
Went into the Panelcfg.and it has alias b737 there, then i tried adding Fokker100's panelcfg.into the actual aircraft's(Fokker100) panelcfg, and all that happened was i got no panel at all.

So obviously not done something right, but i feel i am learning about things even though i am not doing something right.

I wait for somehelp.

Thx........ :)

It would help to know which panel you're trying to install & where to get it. Installing a new panel should not be difficult. Assuming the files are in a folder named Panel simply rename the existing Panel folder to back it up* before pasting in the replacement.

*PS. Rename it to something like Panel.orig or Panel.bak

Jase. Tell me the file name of this panel & the page number it's posted on so I can download it & check it out for you.

It's most likely you didn't install the gauges correctly.

Hmmm. This is a tad complicated. If you've managed to install the panel you must have run the installer & redirected the path to a Temp folder.

To install the panel extract Panel.zip & paste the Panel folder containing Panel.cfg + 11 BMP images into the main folder of your Fokker 100. I assume you already did that.

The gauges are in the zipfile named Gauges.zip. There are a lot of gauges.

Hi Hagar;

I have done it,but don't quite ask me how............ ;D

I think for my 1st panel add-on,i chose the most hardest that i could.

Anyway,it is a hell of a more realistic flight, warnings and buzzers going off for everything and anything.

Thx for help again.

I appreciate it......... :) :) :) :)
