Friday, you're Italian like me and like me you have the very same videocard (actually mine is an AGP even, so slower in some cases than yours). I use 8X and my sim is as fast as 4X and very sharp looking. So much that I'm trying to activate the theoretically possible 16X just to "vedere l'effetto che fa", see how good it is. :P

Are you sure you're not having problems with your drivers? :-?

All systems are different one from another. Just because you can run 8x AA with no apparent issue with the same video card (and same amount of VRAM I guess) doesn't mean I can, too. Matter of fact, I *can*, but performance degrades badly with any weather theme other than "Fair" because of the clouds. In fair weather I notice almost no hit. I guess other settings (system and FS9 settings) play a role in this too. As for the drivers, I'm still running 84.21 because the (only) Asus-signed more recent release gave me a series of issues so I just rolled back.
