You think Im kidding?  Seriously, I didnt expect it either but I did a hoplist once in Idaho.  Go to Idaho and check it out.  I think its a hidden gem of FS.  Theres even 'curved' runways (go to Big Creek Ranger Station)

Is that an addon? or is the default idaho a "hidden gem"?

I went there just to see this pearl...

While it is a nice little airstrip, would you please tell me where it is curved? ???

Maybe you were speaking about earth curvature? ;D

Perhaps you have an addon? Because in my sim, U60 has a pretty darn straight runway. :)

PS
Have to agree with you, though. The whereabouts are pretty nice. Woody mountains all around, never been so happy to have bought GE.

I didn't know it had a so great elevation and took off with a Cessna Birddog. It sure made for some interesting times. ;D

I might be thinking of the wrong airport.  Theres a few airports in Idaho that have afcads that 'curve' the runway, theres a straight strip and then another strip at an angle to the straight one.  Im 99% that I have no addon installed in Idaho, I know that the mesh is default

Ah, that. There's a strip 5 minutes o so away of U60 that is made the way you say...

...almost...

At a better inspection it ended out to be a common real runway with a straight apron or perhaps unsigned taxiway at one end that led to what seems like a oval shaped parking.

While right now I can't remember that strip name nor code (even after having read it on the GPS), I remember that is boxed on three sides (front, back and one of the sides of the runway) with high elevations, and the only side free of elevations would be unusable for an approach because faces the side of the runway.

After a while having studied the situation, I really did hope that it was a FS glitch, because if it is like that in real life, that strip would be landable only with choppers or VTOL aircrafts.

I suppose it depends on two things..is it default mesh, and time, season and weather.  I have European Enhanced Terrain and I love to fly up the west coast of Scotland on a typical morning at first light. Being from Scotland, I KNOW the mountains I'm flying around and lochs.
