and I went and deleted my FS9.cfg thinking something was messed up there. Glad I looked here before a re-install of FS9!

Hi.  Does anyone know if the Real World Weather problem is still there?  I noticed the problem suddenly on Friday, but as I haven't been on the forums for ages (Uni keeping me busy, lol) didn't know the problem was at Jeppesen's end.  I thought it was my config.  Co-incidentally my uninstall file got messed up so deleted the whole program folder and then re-installed FS9.  I then put in all my new aircraft, sounds and scenery.  But it's like anything else.  I don't want to do anything to destablise the game.

If anyone knows whether the system is back up again I'd be grateful.

What a drag, all of my airports are ALL fogged in. Kind of hard to land at VFR runways. :(

My passengers are getting annoyed.  There's only so much caffeine they can take before it gets too much, lol!

Talking of hanging around doing nothing, just out of interest, anyone know what typical landing charges are per hour?  Someone told me

Hmm very odd.  I have a feeling the system kinda works but then again I might be barking up the wrong tree.  I just took my Leerjet from Cairo for about 40 miles, and could definitely see some clouds below me when I was at about 5000ft.  Was this just the 'default' weather, or a live update?  Haven't tried a full flight yet to see if the weather changes though, but at least something's starting to work.

Cheers.

ITS WORKING NOW.

just d/led it. Good thing cause ALL of the airports were totally fogged in. Kind of makes it hard to land at VFR airports.

Real world wx seems to be downloading again as of 12-19-05 however towards end of flight frame rates on pmdg 747 go from mid 20's to 8, 10 ,12...anyone else experience this problem as it seems to have started just before real world wx became unavailable hope there is not some bug in all this. I have checked and rechecked all kinds of stuff and it is really strange it begins as I start the final approach fix and gets worse as I get closer till finally it is impossible to even taxi..any ideas will be greatly appreciated...VB

Thanks for the update Marlin. I've been too busy to fly the last couple days, but it's good to hear it's up and running 8)

B-17G, does this occur with only one aircraft, or with many others?

Esselbach.......I flew LD767 tonight no problems w/ real wx frame rates stayed around 20 to 25 w/ target locked at 25. (3 hr. flight)
I am going to fly PMDG 747 tomorrow dusseldorf back to athens and give it a go......I never had this problem w/ 747 before always had pretty good frame rates about the same as 767..... sunday night after landing in Paris I even xld the wx and frame rates still were way down. I am still in a long learning curve w/ the computer but I feel pretty confident it is not my machine or settings but it is a strange thing..... last night had heavy fog in Paris 1/4 mile vis and settings on FS9 are high and nothing out of the ordinary w/ frame rates on departure but like I said they really dropped off when approching Athens and it has happened several times, different airports, I will try it again w/ FS9 wx and see what happens....maybe it was in the update w/ 747 that just came out......I am at a loss..but I am glad to find out there was a problem w/ wx downloads since I was a hairs breath away from dumping everything and reloading the whole thing.....that would have been a long day.....luckly I remember this happened once before a few years ago and found out it was the server not the sim etc. so I was looking around to see if this was in fact the case ....and to my delite it was.........got any ideas on the frame rates I will give them a try...Vincent
