Shimmer and Shake

No problem Phiz. As for the name I just thought of it one day and I've used it quite a lot since:D   You could probably get a mip map of 8 but it might kill your frame rates. I havn't tried that yet because my computers already struggling with the fs setup its got  :'(. Glad to see all that playing around I did in the settings helped someone other than me

Try getting the new 78.03's.
Nvidia is aware of this and have released these new beta drivers that should correct the "shimmering" you are experiencing!

Well spotted!  Mine's a Geforce 6800GT, so maybe reuced shimmer doesn't apply, but I'll certainly have a try. At the moment my driver's 77.77, so not far to go...

I am running a 6800 and after speaking with the guys from Nvidia, these drivers are also for the 6800 and it fixed some of my shimmering!  ;)

Thanks a lot. That's encouraging. I'd appreciate it if you could share your settings [before and after running 78 beta, if they've changed]. "Fixed some of my shimmering" - can you quantify the improvement?
