There are many features I'd like to be added, ranging from nav-systems to sounds to visuals and aircraft handling.

But I think the same way as many of here so no need for me to say it again :)

1) More helicopter stuff; Including; AI flights, landable city location helipads, oilrigs and major industry centres. AI heliflights would be a start though.

2) Proper multiplayer co-pilot feature. Why cant I sit in my friends plane while he flies and I operate other controls? This would be a good training aid and improve multiplayer gaming no end!

Christalker,

You could always build a pilot/copilot simpit setup.  That would allow that with a high level of realism.  A high level of bucks also... but a high level of realism. ;)

Even a rudimentary setup with two networked computers with FSUIPC and WIDEFS and Wideview I think would allow this.  Create a custom set of instrument panels for the displays on the right and left sides of the cockpit... and put the respective ones on the right and left monitors.  Two people sit side by side.

In fact....... thinking about this... one wonders if somehow this could be effected through a modem so that two people in different locations could fly "right and left seat" together... but in different places...... hummmmmmmmmmm........

best,

............john

I don't believe in moaning for moaning's sake but there are always some good constructive suggestions/criticism which come from this topic. We've seen them before and we all want a bit more realism and candie .... which only adds to the complexity of the sim and the need for bigger better more powerful systems. Keeps a lot of people in jobs I guess.

I'm all for taking a breath and improving on what we've got. Better fps is on most people's minds which if you're pepared to dig deep in the old bank balance, can be achieved. Turning down various settings is another good tip. It's all down to compromise and balance which I've personally learned to live with over the various sims I've installed and run.

If I were to have just one moan.... I thinks it would be the option to have one or two 'english' dialect pilots/etc not necessarily linked to world zones but just as an option..........nothing against our cousins in the States but I do get frustrated when I'm flying into my favourite UK airport to hear that distinctive American twang coming through my headphones, nothing against you yanks; some of my best buddies are in the US.

End of moan.....................

There should be ground vehicle that come up when you put on your parking brake. and push back when you ask atc for push back. And Crash trucks at the end of the runway. Major airlines would be nice like Northwest, Delta, american airlines, and southwest and etc. with up to date plane like the Boeing 737-700,800 and and some Air french airlines.

For all that's been said about improving this and that, what about addressing things that have been ignored such as railroads and rivers. What about road traffic and trains etc. It would be nice to see the 3.43 to Bristol on time as you turn on finals at Lyneham for instance.

OK lads... don't shoot me down in flames :)
How about putting in to FS the concept of money?
How about having to pay landing fees, that 1000 hour
service that's due soon and, oh yes, the plane itself and any upgrades!

Income could be earned by carrying cargo / passenger's on jobs advertised at your current airport?? Can we kick some ideas around???
regards...

Hi guys - now don't shoot me down in flames :)

How about introducing the concept of finance into FS??
Like in real life, we have to pay for our planes and servicing, landing fees, upgrades etc... The cash could be earned from carrying fee paying passengers and cargo with the jobs being advertised at your current airport.... Can we kick some ideas around as to how it could work? I for one would find it enjoyable to be able to work for my living in the simulation... Great site

This is not the firs time I say that ATC in FS need a complete rehaul, not a little tuning.

I may be a little overzealous, but I'd really like an ATC that behaves as much as possible as a real one.

This of course includes the possibility of declaring emergencies (thing this that should come with a real randomization of faults coupled with a management of the aircraft's reliability based on its use), but not exclusively.

My pet peeves in this matter are that the ATC should keep separations better than it does now.

Leigh,

I don't think MS want's flight sim to be called a "game" per say more than a flight simulation. Adding those features would most likely call it a game and they don't want that... ::)

Nice Idea, this could be a side line to the Create a Flight etc. (which I wouldnt want to lose)

I have always thought that some form of interaction of this sort would be good. Maybe you could apply for jobs with the some airlines, cargo, military, flying schools etc.

On another note, Landing stats would be cool. Impact force, distance from threshold, distance from centre line, difficulty factor (based on weather and visibility). That would be really nice... Like - wow I got a 9.5 landing... wooohoo etc.

Regarding the fact that you posted the same message 5 times, lol, i did the same. When you click post and it appears to have failed, it actually hasnt, its lying. It happened to me yesterday.

Its bad when you love the game so much that you cant wait to leave work and go home and crash so more...

First, FS is a FLIGHT simulator, not a CRASH simulator.  If you are using the sim properly, you do not need to worry about smoke in the cockpit or failures.  The failures mode is for the exception to the rule, not the rule itself.  Right now, I am flying from Guyana to Key Largo, and I find simply accomplishing that goal is enough of a challenge.  Of course, occasionaly, you do need to fly under the occasional bridge or buzz a tower... ;D

How about a return to the accuracy of FS8 and before?  Remember all the bridges and landmarks that were left out in this version?

A better aircraft manager would be nice, with a WORKABLE aircraft editor...

What about a built in aircraft builder?  Look what happened when Gmax was introduced and freeware boomed.  A program that is built into FS could be even better.

I don't understand the frame rate issue.  I am running with a 2.4 Gig processor and a 256 Mb video card with 1 gig RAM.  While this may be a bit better than average, it is by no means state of the art.  I think that a lot of people aren't happy unless they're getting 40 fps in Chicago with all the sliders maxed.  I run maxed out and get around 20 and that is fine with me.  FS has always been and always will be graphic intensive.  Face it.  How about adding suggestions that will truly make this a better sim instead of whining about how your machine sucks
