Chief if you can only see one Maul folder in your aircraft folder then you have done it wrong..there should be a folder for each variant in there..commoner

Interesting. Never seen that before either (the opening preflight checklist) I'm far from an expert, but just cruising the aircraft and panel configs I see in several of the windows in the panel.cfg a line "nomenu=1". Also, Window 00 has "do not close".

OK OK Guys, you have convinced me to proceed and install the Maule. I need to go back and download the zip file.
But to go back to the orignal problem, I installed as per instructions ie: the ones Commoner posted. I did have all the different aircraft folders, tricyle, ski, ect. After looking in each aircraft folder there were only 2 folders MODEL and Panel, the Sound and Texture were not in any of them  ???
Thanks for the support, when I have time I am going back and starting over.

Glad you fixed it Chief. ;)

How many people have benn confused by the seven steps on installing downloads and given up it goes back to the days of the disk operating system.

I can't think of seven steps.
1. Download the file.
2. Extract the file.
3. Open the extracted folder to identify the aircraft.
4. Move the aircraft into the sim.

If only I could show you how I do this you would see how easy it is. Trying to describe it here or in a tute usually takes far longer than it does to install the files. It also looks more complicated than it is. The main problem people have with installing addons to the M$ sims is them being unfamiliar with their computer & the basic Windows functions. I was just the same when I first started. I've learned an awful lot about my computer by doing this than I would have ever found out if I hadn't done it.

I agree that it is easy but only "easy when you know how"  :)...pity you can't download this one though Hagar it is a bit different from most I've seen due mainly I think to the various features it has....another thing you mentioned was guys not knowing how to use their pc's OS correctly....I believe you use Windows Explorer and cut and paste..whereas I personally can't stand Win Expl. and much prefer what I look on as a more "natural" way of opening folders on my desktop and taking out stuff. placing it on the desktop and then putting it into the folder I want to....much as you would in a "paper" office....just appeals to me thats all....commoner.

It's a great little package and with all the different types is a lot of fun....the panels are somewhat different to what I've seen before with regard to accessing the map and gps etc but well done IMHO....you'll need a fast connection for the download and some knowledge of installing as it is slightly different..having read what Hagar and others have said, I still did it from the instructions and it went well using the WinXP extractor...I love it..commoner ;)
