By law, pilots have to sound the chimes at 10,000 feet to alert the flight crew that they've cleared the "sterile cockpit" restrictions, during which cabin crew can only call the pit in an emergency.
Yeah, by FAA regulations buddy...JAA does not have the same policy. We can talk about other stuff before climbing through 10.000ft ;D
