Holger, that is FAAAAAAAAANTASTIC looking.

I have FSGenesis right now, but would easily scrap that for Misty Fjords, and I know I will too. Man you guys have out done yourselves from what I can see in the screenshots.

Jaw dropping gorgeous

[quote]Hi Matt,

I'm just about to send the final beta to the test team and the package is about 65MB. FSAddon/simMarket doesn't usually provide CD options but I'm sure we can work out something for people like yourself that have no possible access to a reasonable d/l time. Once Misty Fjords is published and your situation hasn't changed drop me an email and we'll find a way

Wow!!  For what it's worth, I was born and raised in Ketchikan, right next door to the Misty's.  I know the place well and I'm very impressed with the screen shots.  They look amazing!  Can't wait for their release.  Southeast is a great place to fly and the weather can be a real challenge.  It's tough to pick one part of the state as a favorite, each area has it's own unique attractions.  Fly Alaska!

Hi there,

thanks for the enthusiastic responses; the key element for me was realism and accuracy and it'll be interesting to see how people who know the places like it (one of our beta testers used to live in Ketchikan and he says it's deja-vu for him ;-)

BTW, no need to ditch FSG or any other add-on mesh. Misty Fjords comes with its own base mesh but it will also work with any add-on mesh made from the same source data, such as the FSG Cordillera mesh, Steve Greenwood's LOD10 mesh, or Raimondo's freeware Alaska mesh.

Cheers, Holger
