Not necessarily. You may run into the same kinds of problems, such as airport elevation errors, as with any scenery download.

Or it may work without any problems at all.

BTW - They made this recommendation which I didn't download. So it could look better.

This is Ford Singapore running in Prepar3d V2.4.

It isn't capable of Orbx level scenery, but it can be pretty close to native FSX scenery.

Yes - sorry mate - but when doing the scenery for the Ford Project and the Blackhawk Project there is some serious differences between FS2004 and FSX in not only elevation but ground layout. For example for the Hawaii Islands there is some very big differences in the land masses - both the sea base airfields are inland in FSX and the runways are great big holes or elevated mountains.

The Ford Project Team is focused on FS2004 - though a great deal of our aircraft and their liveries are compatible with FSX the scenery can require far too many hours of additional work to bring into line with FSX.

Regards Gentlemen.

I'll take the good and skip the not-so-good. No problemo :D

Scenery wise, Orbx is, usually, what I like, but even Orbx isn't perfect. And besides, I like different types of scenery at times.

And even if it were perfect, it isn't my only source of good scenery. I'll use OZx, Blue Sky Scenery, Hawaii Photoreal scenery, various international sites, and more.

None of it is 100% perfect, or covers a 100% of the places that I'm interested in.

The Ford project will never fulfill all my needs, and it doesn't have to.

I know that you don't want to promise too much, Garry. It doesn't matter.

What you guys are doing is just fine as is. Just keep on keeping on. :D

For me its simple.... :D ....

If I want to use Garry's; Ford Project, (or Blackhawk Project, etc) I just fire up my trusty FS 2004 instead of my FSX!

I still have a great affection for my FS 2004. (I have lots of good add-ons in it)!
It has in the past, and still serves me well!

...and I still fly my CFS 2... :D ...!

I keep them all on my HDD, ready to use.....even my FS '98!!

I try lots of FS 2004 stuff in my FSX. Most of it works, If it doesn't work as expected, I just by-pass it!

Its fun trying things out....(as the Bishop said to the Actress)...!

It's really simple.

A lot of FS9 things work in FSX/P3d.

Knowing in advance that some will work, why not give it a try? :confusion-shrug:

Those guys are doing good.

I'm not going to cry over what doesn't work, on a platform that it wasn't intended for.

I don't think that anybody is.

We're all just having fun and trying to get away with what we can.

At least it's not as bad as those who'll work a year or more trying to get their old Commodore Pet games to work on their IBM compatible.

And if they can? More power to them.

I read Blackhawk comics in the 1960's, when they were flying stylistic F-90C's. At that time, during the beginning of the Space Age, their adventures had taken on a science-fiction theme.

Alas, this is probably the first time I've regretted running FSX instead of FS9 since I'd love to fly these wonderful planes from Blackhawk Island.

I have absolutely NO idea how this works, it being used that is.

But at $7 it might be worth trying. :confusion-shrug:

As a back-up to my original FS 2004 Jewel Case version, I purchased a NEW, unused, sealed, Jewel Case version of FS 2004 from Amazon some time ago, for a nominal sum, just in case my original version should develop a fault!
(Beware: I would strongly advise against purchasing any computer game advertised as; "Used". They are sometimes faulty or damaged, and may not work!).
I would have thought by now, that many of our FSX users would still have their original copies of FS 2004 tucked away somewhere, ready to re-install!
I still have all my old computer games (and machines) dating from 1976!.... ...!
(I rarely throw anything away!).... ;) ...!

If FS 2004 appears as; "NEW" on Amazon...its your lucky day....pick it up, quick!... :D ...!
