Hi all. I am new to the site. And relatively new to flight simulators. I have FS2004 and I am really enjoying it. I have so much to learn about the game, but already have been downloading different aircraft created by some of you.

I was wondering if anybody has created the Hindenburg blimp? I did a search but just found a few blimps, like the Goodyear, and a couple others. If there isn't a model of the
Hindenburg created yet, is there a particular forum where I could put in a request with a designer?

Also, are there any FS clubs here that I could join? Gets a bit lonely in my FS2004. I thought it might be cool to share FS experiences with others.

Hi runningdeer & welcome. First of all, the Hindenburg was a rigid airship & not a blimp.  There is one for FS2004 but I can't find it at Simviation. Type > fs2004 hindenburg < in Google & you will be sure to find it.

You might be interested in playing FS online. Look in the Multiplayer forum or send Fozzer a PM.

The Hindenburg D-LZ129 Features Full Interior with photo real radio room , passenger cabins , smoking room , kitchen , all decks modeled , engine gantry and nacelle entry gantry ,upper gondola map room. Virtual Cockpit includes all mouse over animated controls , custom lighting and gauges , 2D mini panel interface contains all system command icons and flight gauges.Dozens of animations include a walking waiter , individually controlled doors , night lights  , field lights , animated port foreward engine , flush toilet , droplines , boarding ladder , exits , grand piano for music playback , Passengers , ground crew , flags and other bits use conditional code to appear or disappear. Hi Hagar...well I simply did a search of the file library at Avsim and this came up.........I did download it and it appears just amazing but not had time to fly it or full explore yet..........Not found that toilet yet

Thanx for the 'welcome' all. I'll go to the multi-player area sometime today and check it out.

I found a Graf Zepplelin here http://www.goldenwings.info/.

It's really cool. Huge airship. Neat features. I only spent a moment flying it...managed to lift off, but the nose went straight up. It'll be fun learning to fly it.

I would like this game much better if I could figure out how to fix the chase view. The camera always pans off and I get disoriented. I would love a fixed view, centered behind my airplane. I followed the in-game instructions on doing that, but never seen the red line they spoke of, to fix it in the position that I want. The camera just ends up somewhere else, and I have to use the hat switch on my joystick to get behind again.

When you are in chase view (spotview) just press the spacebar. It'll center you directly behind your plane. Using your numpad will give other views.

I was hoping that there was a setting that made the camera stay behind and follow my movements. Without using the space bar. That doesn't seem to snap my view behind me all the time.

Ya can't have it all I suppose  :P.

I think I know what you mean. Try this:

Start a flight.

Click Alt.

Click Views

Click View Options

Check Spot Plane

Uncheck Gradual Transition

That should prevent the view from 'shifting'
