Can't place my aircraft nowhere

Postby jive1 » Fri Aug 19, 2011 9:06 am

Hey!
This is a very strage situation, I can only start FS9 placing my aircraft on a 'active runway' and nowhere else. I cannot go in the 'Go to World' menu to none of the other places except active runway, no runway of my choice, no parking spot... In fact I can only see in the 'Go to World' menu the active runway of the airport where I want to start and nothing else.
However, when I choose that active runway of the airport where I want to start, I always arrive on a absolutely strange place, at different places on the earth, sometimes it will be somewhere in the ocean, sometimes it is on Antarctiva sometimes it is al a very high level and so that the aircraft falls down and keeps falling, because it it impossibly high... , but never on the spot where I want to place the aircraft.
In one word: I cannot choose where to set my aircraft when I open FS9.
What can this be?

Did this odd behavior start suddenly or after a some add-on installation?

As it is... matters stink of some corrupted AFCAD file(s)... or perhaps other general scenery file(s).

Try and deactivate ALL the scenery add-ons you have installed ever since FS9's installation (leaving all the default ones active and in place) and clear the FS9\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ folder, then try again and let us know.

Hey!
Indeed, thank you!
I was modifying an afcad file with AFX and possibly I made a mistake somewhere...
I replaced my modified afcad with the original and all is fine now!
Thank you!
