This is a common problem & easily fixed. Add this entry to fs9.cfg.

[OldModules]
FSSound.dll=1

Hagar,
Will this also take care of the gauge problem?

Should do. FSSound.dll is a module associated with gauges. Only way to find out is to try it.

PS. Make sure FSSound.dll is installed to FS9\Modules.

In the fs9.cfg file...

If there is no [OldModules] section you can add this to the bottom.

[OldModules]
FSSound.dll=1

If [OldModules] section already exists add this line to the section

FSSound.dll=1

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Could you provide the download link to the aircraft you're referring to. Neither of the 727-200 by La Cruz that I found use the TCAS gauge.

Downloaded and installed B732-YV341T.zip from SimV. One of three Avior 737-200 packages by La Cruz. I got the same 'failure loading....' error for the TCAS.

The error for the ILH_TCAS.gau is because 2 additional files needed by the gauge were not included in the download.

Goto Avsim and search for and download the file name ilh_tcas_v4.zip. This is the full version of the gauge.

From the download copy the files TCASV7.dll and TCASV7.ini to your main FS2004 folder.
