Iris Freeware Tornado GR4

Postby Paolo_R » Fri Jan 14, 2011 11:07 pm

Just downloaded this from the Simviation Library. Apart from a ref. and check.htm, the flight manual gives no info on how to operate this aircraft, particularly the variable geometry wings.

Is there any detailed operation manual available?

I realise this is a product no longer supported.

TIA

Hi Paolo, and welcome to SimV!

Not sure about a manual, but if memory serves, the wing position is set by the flaps. (I think)

if it's anything like the Just Flight Tornados, it will be by the flaps control.

You'll not see flaps/slats until wings are fully forward.

Try landing with wings swept fully back.
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

I may be missing something here but my Iris Tornado GR4 sweeps it's wings with the undercarriage control!

Turns out I've been flying the AI version included in the download ::)
As you quite rightly say Paolo, the flap control operate the wing sweep.
Going back to the funny farm.

Don't feel bad, Zaph. I was scratching my head for days after I installed it, before I realized that I too, was flying the AI model.  ;D ;D
