This is a question for anyone who has installed FS9 on a 2nd hard drive.
On my old machine, there were two hdd's....both 250 gb. The 2nd (E: ....perhaps) was completely blank....no empty folders such as "Programs", for example. I had to reinstall FSX at one time, so pointed the installer to the blank hdd. It installed, but without creating any master folders such a Program Files, Flight Simulator X, etc. Just all the individual FSX folders.....everything worked fine, though.
I just purchsed a 2nd 500gb Seagate Barracuda (1.2 revision) to match my current hard drive. The original HDD is unpartioned and consists of only a C: Drive. The 2nd hdd is physically in the computer, but I've got to find a SATA connector (thought one would have come with the HDD!) to get it set up. I will likely partition it to two 250 gb drives. I want to reinstall my FS9 to one of those drives.
Now to my question....in your experience, should I make a "Programs" folder and a "Flight Simulator 2004" folder on that new drive and install to the empty "Flight Simulator 2004" folder...to the "Programs" folder, or just let it install to the empty hdd in any way it wants?
Thanks, and all the best,
Terry
