Is there a install and Setup guide for FS2004 by NickN like FSX?

Postby John Crouse » Sat May 29, 2010 2:40 pm

I was wandering if there was a good order of install and set-up guide for FS2004 like there is for FSX? Thanks for the info.

Wondering...

From what I remember of FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, and FS 2004, there was no problem or difficulty in Installing and setting-up any of them up...straight out of the Box...!

FSX was always something different...;)...!

Paul....G-BPLF....FS 2004.... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]....and FSX... ::)...!

Installing FS9 is pretty straight forward.

If you're wanting an FSX comparable version of his setup process, you would start with his XP setup in the FSX section, and then use this guide for his FS9.cfg :  http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaB ... 055375/0#7

But with most systems today, for FS9 it's just install,  move the sliders up, and enjoy.  ;)

Thanks Paul the reason I was asking about the order of installing is that I have terrain mesh from fsgenesis and Ground Enviroment and Ultimate terrain and also REX for FS9 and then some Flytampa airport add-ons and want to get them installed right and have the best scenery as I can. Thanks again John

Many of your programs install in the normal way...

The various Scenery Add-Ons appear in the FS 2004 "Scenery Library" when the Sim is running, Their order can be re-arranged there, if necessary.
There is a preferred order, but I generally find everything seems to run OK as I install each one, working downwards.

See how it runs...;)...!

John,

Welcome to fs2004 and SimV.

With all that detailed payware in there it certainly can't hurt to tweak the system to get the most out of it that it is capable of.
