FS 2004 damaged disk

Postby machinehead1973 » Mon May 03, 2010 2:03 pm

I have a damaged disk and FS will not download. Is there anything I can do or am I going to have to buy it again?

Do remember that it is illegal to download the game even if you own a copy. The act of downloading it is illegal - 'Downloading' is the key word, nothing else matters.

There are solutions but I don't think SimV allows them to be posted as they pretty much all go against the user agreement of the game.

Just buy it again and be on the safe side. It's quite cheap these days.

If you can find it. I'm happy I have two back-up sets still in the shrinkwrap...

Amazon has FS9 for $18.98 and $14.63 from other vendors.  Mine is safely tucked away as I don't need it to fly, but it's nice to know it's still available.

I bought my copy about 2 or 3 months ago. They had it well stocked on Amazon. Brand new copy.

I think he means 'install' rather than 'download'? Yep, buy a new copy, they have loads really cheaply on Amazon.

first off.... which DISK is it that is giving you problems?  and "EXACTLY" what is the problem that you are having?  are there any error messages that are popping up when you put in the offending disk??

If it is Disk 4, and it will not "PLAY", then (mutters under his breath) there is the ever controversial .exe that can be found floating around on the net if you GOOGLE around for it.
