Sim pauses on opening menu item

Hi,  maybe a simple one...... When I open the menu and select an item,the sim pauses. How do I stop this .
I've tried using the pause on task switch option in settings. Any help appreciated, Cheers

When I select the Drop-down Menu (Alt Key), the Sim Pauses.
After I have made my selection, I then press; "P" to "un-pause", and then continue with the Sim....
I think its the way it was designed to work......!
I've got used to it... ...!

when you are in the middle of a flight, and you press "ALT" (alternate key) the sim in programmed to temporarily pause so that you can make changes in the MENU at the top of the screen.

after you make your changes, and get back to the flight, you 'should NOT' have to hit "P" key to un-pause.
