Do I need "tweaks" for FS9 like FSX?

Postby stevehookem » Thu Jul 16, 2009 3:40 pm

I'm going to try FS9 since FSX is giving me fits.

I have a new drive that is blank. Do I need to modify Windows like I did for FSX?

Is there a "set-up FS9" guide like Nick did for FSX? I like to follow those types of steps to get the most out of it.

What add-ons to FS9 should be first to get me as close to the look of FSX as possible?

there are many addons to get your FS9 to look like FSX.

1 of my favorates is Real Environment Pro. http://www.flightsimworld.com/downloads ... /1375.html

if you couple that program with Ground Environment Pro (like it says after you install REP.... then OMG!!!! The realism is OUTSTANDING!!!! (payware - http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=ge2006 )

If you do not want to go the way of payware... then just look around for whatever scenery Mesh you like, and for the part of the world you are going to be flying in.. and there you go.

Everyone here will give you "their" idea of the 'BEST', so am I.  It all depends on how good your computer is, what it can/can't handle, if you are willing to pay for it or do you want it for free.... and most of all, what EXACTLY (to the letter) are you wanting from your flight sim????
