Tinmouse 732 flap problem

Postby C210 » Wed May 13, 2009 7:00 am

Can someone please help me out here. I am having problems deploying the flaps on the tinmouse 732. I read the readme and setup buttons in a registered copy of FSUIPC using the Offset Byte Set option and x6D11 para 2 and 3 to move the flap lever.

Plane is powered up and hydraulics is on. I can see the flap lever move when I press the down button but the indicator do not move. If I use the default fs9 flaps up down, the flap lever do not move but the indicator does. When I try to take off I get a config alarm which is obviously due to the flaps sensed in the wrong position.

I also tried clicking on the indicator and with the - and + showing I also cannot get the flaps to move.

I am truely stumped on this one and hope someone have a solution for me.

Hi, and welcome.

I don't know about using offsets in FSUIPC registered: I've been flying the Tinmouse 732 for a few years using the unregistered version (and therefore no offsets) with no issues in deploying/raising flaps using F5-F9 or joystick assignments.

In this condition with the panel fired up in the correct sequence, the flaps don't move until the engines are running, even though the flap handle does. Once the engines are running though, it's all fine.

I'd suggest removing the offsets from FSUIPC and relying on the standard Microsoft controls?

Good luck - let us know how you get on.

Are you using V1.24beta? Not that it really matters. I replaced the gau file with the original V1.2 version and the same happens. Very very weird. Flaps work as advertised on everything else.

Problem for me in using the default method is that I get a config warning if I try to takeoff using flap 5 or 10 or 15 set via the default keys, ie flap annunciation showing 5, 10 or 15 but the flap lever is somewhere else. lining the two up do not take it away.

What else will trip the t/o warning bell? spoilers is armed and trim set correctly.

One thing that will trigger that &!!**&! warning bell is not setting the autobrakes on RTO - catches me out frequently!

Yip, RTO set correctly. Funny though that RTO is set to off in the pre takeoff checklist. Must be a mistake!

Anyhow, I solved it by assigning flaps to the default keys and deleting the damn sound file  8-) So at least I can fly the freaken thing now without me waking the neighbors each time I do a TO in this thing  :D
