Missing props

Postby model_maker » Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:56 pm

I have found postings on missing landing gear and so I know about settings in the fs9.cfg file, but I can not figure out a way to get propellers to show up on various aircraft I've downloaded.  Some models are old and so I expect they are incompatible with FS9, but a recently I downloaded a beautiful model that only lacked propellers. The file is Swordfish_FS02.zip. great model, but no props.  Is there a setting to tweak or am experiencing a graphics hardware problem?

Thanks,

I found it - thanks to the poster who supplied several potential links.

It is indeed a FS2002 aircraft which seems to work rather well in FS2004 - but there is no visible prop action for me either.

Perhaps someone who still has FS2002 on their computer will set it up and advise if there is a prop action in that sim.

On SimAviation the file is labeled SWORDFISH ATC UPDATE V2 BY RHAS PRODUCTIONS.  The update includes the aircraft.  Now this is just an example, I have a bunch of planes like this and many, like I mentioned are really nice models, just missing props.  Some are poor old FS98, or CSx files and I don't expect these to work in FS9.  I just thought maybe, there was a setting or switch somewhere that would turn on the props, like the landing gear when you get the "incompatible software" warning.

Thanks again
