No emergency procedure with ATC in FS9 ?

Postby gypsymoth » Wed Mar 04, 2009 7:07 pm

I've just landed a 737 at Heathrow in the dark & whilst travellig at 80 or so I clipped the wing of an aircraft without lights that was getting off the runway.  I was landing as instructed!!   I ended up facing to the left in middle of the runway with smoke billowing amidships.    :o :'(

ATC kept asking me vacate & kept telling others to land with the usual go arrounds as I was still insitu having disgorged the passengers ASAP, while I kept looking for a response I could send telling ATC about my predicament & asking for HELP!!!   But - there is no response in this situation, is there?     I  know FS9 is a 'game' but think it would be nice to have an emergecy response & I'm wondering if there's a programme around that fits this bill?   :-?

I believe that Pro FLight Emulator (payware ATC program) allows you to declare wmergencies.  What the options are after that... I don;t know.  I'm not surre about Radar Contact (another payware ATC program).

Other than that....... you're out of luck.

best,

I haven't used it in a while, but the payware ATC program "Radar Contact" allows emergency procedures.
