What plane is this occurring with?

Also, do you have the FSSound.dll file?

I have researched it, and the only other thing I can think of is that some of the included .wav (sound) files need to go in the main FS2004/Sound folder, rather than the plane's individual sound folder. The readme's for these aircraft should specify what specific sound files these are. These are usually sounds for items like button clicks, or gauge alarms, not engine sounds.

Other than that, I'm afraid I'll have to pass this question on to those who are more knowledgeable.

Good luck,
-Sean

Hi jf...mmm...SOUND FILE INVALID..is what it means and IMO Sean is just about right..........a gauge in the panel is looking to play a sound file which is either not present or is in the wrong place..........Hagar sorted this out some while ago and here is the topic which did the trick in this case..........commoner ;)

Commoner, I found the problem with a gauge that i had added to the panels, it was the vip.atr.rmi.gau   gauge. this surprised me,because i have used that gauge before in 2004.  it will not work in fsx. i  guess it must have had a conflict with some other gauge in my panels. i hope this will help other simmers that have this same problem.
