Flying Boat Positioning for take off

Postby revkev » Sun Oct 05, 2008 4:28 pm

I've downloaded and installed a SHort Sandringham Flying Boat to FS9 but I can't find anywhere in the program that allows me to set it into water for take-off.  Can anyone help me with this?

FS9 has some water runways but I'm not sure they're listed anywhere. There are several alternative methods. You could select an airport close to some water & slew into it. OR you could go to Map View & drag it in that way.

PS. The one I always used for testing floatplanes is named Evers, just off Manhattan.

G'day Hagar, thanks for the info; there's obviously a lot that I still have to learn about FS.  I'll try that later today

Mostly North America, though.

If you ever have problems finding a water runway, do what I do. Open up the map, and zoom into a coast, and scroll around. You're bound to find some. Just takes a little common sense. ;)

But seriously, the Alaskan coast has seaports strewn all over it, and the seaport scenery addons are cool ;D
