using default 747 VC in custom planes

Postby RDinger » Tue Sep 30, 2008 2:53 pm

Hello there
I've downloaded a custom made 747-400, but it didn't came with a VC so I was thinking to use the default 747 virtual cockpit. I copied the "panel" folder in the custom made plane folder, but nothing happened. So I figured that I had to change something in some textfile, question is: wich file should I alter, and what?
Thnx for any help!

the VC is part of the model and in order to add a VC to a plane you need the Gmax source files ;) and authors don't just freely hand them out ;)

Echoing ndude737's comments, in FS2004 it is not possible to transfer the VC of any aircraft, to any other aircraft.
I believe that you can do this with the default VC's in FSX though.

only if the aircraft that you are adding to has been compiled with the FSX SDK
