Settings  Display

Postby chief1995 » Thu Sep 18, 2008 2:33 pm

I am getting some jerky movements when I fly, so I went to my settings when I got to Display Setting  the only thing i can set is the frame rates, the MIP mapping Render to texture Anti-aliasing is grayed out.
What to do?
Thanks,

Chief

No ideas yet, other than possibly your graphics card is too old to support some of these features....

Got to Start : Run and type in DXdiag and run it.  That will tell you what is wrong with your graphics setup;  likely that is the culprit.  Probably your video card or a bad driver.

best,

I doubt its the graphic card, I run FSX just fine, and yes I had already done the DX program The problem is just with FS9.
Thanks for your ideas anyway!

What kind of video card, and have you upgraded it since you installed FS9?

It's been my experience that if the sim doesn't allow you to change basic settings like that, it's because it doesn't recognize the video card type. This can happen if your video card's drivers aren't installed correctly, if your FS9.cfg has become corrupt, or if you have changed

What is it with some people, they ask a question with a technical bias and don't give you btheir PC specs.

C'mon guys, questions like this need to be asked along with the spec of your PC.

...no need to touch this file unless certain problems occur in it...either by accident or fooling around with it ...not recommended  :P

To get a brand new one....just delete it and start the sim; when a brand new one will be generated automatically.........MINUS I must add, any little tweaks you did to improve things...for example if you changed the default flight it will revert to the original Cessna from Seattle ....commoner ;)

Want to try it?.....then make a backup copy of the one you have in case you don't like the new one :-?
