First, which aircraft?

Second a few things to try.

1. Are you using the rudder or have the auto-rudder turned on?

2. Is the yaw damper turned on?

3. How fast are you trying to taxi?

I think the problem is that you are trying to use ailerons to turn on the ground. The ailerons only control bank, which does not do anything for steering on the ground. Most aircraft in FS have the steering linked to the rudder control. If your joystick setup has a rudder (twisty-grip stick, rudder pedals, etc.), use this. If your setup does not have a rudder "auto-rudder" will make the appropriate rudder inputs for you in flight and will allow you to steer with the ailerons on the ground. Auto-rudder is set under the Aircraft -> Realism menu.

Make sure that Auto-rudder is enabled from Aircraft Realism settings.

At the earliest opportunity I suggest investing in a joystick with separate rudder control. They're not expensive.

I'd suggest getting actual rudder pedals.  They are more expensive than a new twist grip joystick though.

OR........ stop down in the "Homebuild Cockpits" forum section here (The Dark Side) and look for information of how to build a set of rudder pedals out of an old joystick.

best,

Did you try my suggestion?

There is also an option from FS9/Setttings/Assignments to return the joystick commands to the default settings.
