I have lost my GPS in all aircraft and do not wish to reload everthing to get it back.. restoring to an earlier date did not help.

Is the gps gauge file in your Gauges folder? If not......

You can extract files from the CDs without having to reinstall.

The gps gauge file is 'fs9gps.cab'. It can be recovered from CD2\MSGAME3.cab\.

If you have Windows XP, in Explorer simply drag the file from the cd to your FS2004\Gauges\ folder.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

The damage is a little more extensive than I thought.. All of the small icons for choosing Radio,GPS,throttle and map are missing from all of the aircraft, default and add-ons..
Otherwise the aircraft seemed to function normally..
Hopefully there is a fix for that also??

Thanks

Look for SimIcons.cab in the same location on CD-2 as the GPS gauge. I suspect you deleted some or all of the CAB files from FS9\Gauges by mistake.
