You cursed me, Dragboat!

Postby ThomasKaira » Sat Jul 19, 2008 3:15 pm

Now I'M having problems with Tolmachevo team scenery!

USSS Koltsovo, at 60 to 65% loaded, or 20nm out of the airport, CTD with error:

G2D.dll

Sounds like the exact same problem us two are experiencing here. :-X ::) ::)

UPDATE: Cause found, it was conflicting or bad terrain textures alright.

I had recently installed a water package that came with "updates" to some terrain textures, and it was apparantly these that were causing the crashes, as restoring my old texture folder has allowed me to return to Koltsovo airport.

Consider this a warning: Do NOT use the AFS Design terrain files if you have complex add-on scenery installed, it WILL overload your g2d module.

LOL no Tolmachevo is cursed. I guess i installed it right after the first time i had installed it. The First time is Used flight sim manager to install it(yes this is the program from ranainside that installs everything flight sim related, i have gotten it to work.) That didnt work for some reason , and the only time i could use the scenery was at night. After this i read the instructions, put the file in the scenery file, selected the scenery from the scenery list in fs-2004, exited the flight sim, came back into fs-2004 and the scenery looked and worked fine. Only thing about this scenery is that it eats up some frames,on my computer that is. Well Jet i have to go reply to my Big Fs-2004 problem. looks like i found the two causes of that.
Happy Flights( and hopefully a working sim ;D)
