Dassault Mirage Sound problem (prop plane sound...

Postby Lordluud2 » Tue May 20, 2008 9:38 am

And again I have a little problem.

I downloaded this great Mirage http://simviation.com/fsxmilitary23.htm but I cannot seem to get any real jetfighter sounds... lol...

I get the sound of an prop plane...  ;D

Oh, and how can I kill all those enoying beeping sounds that occur when I get airborne in this thing..?

I suspect this is due to a lack of sound.cfg in the download, but I can't be sure yet.(Downloading it now to find out) If so, this can be overcome by adding either a sound.cfg that alias' to a different model, or adding an addon sound pack. (Very simple to do)

Not sure about the beeping. Does it sound like Morse Code?

1st-why are you downloading an FSX ac for FS2004?

The sound problem is because sound is aliased to a default FSX (b737-800) aircraft not in your FS2004 hanger.

I believe the FS2004 version of this aircraft is  here http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military79.htm, second from the bottom. Author Roland Laborie, et al.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Well, there is a sound .cfg file included... Ehm, the beeping.. Well, it does'nt really sound like Morse code, but it's comes close to it sometimes.
