Does anyone know of anywhere I can purchase a new (sealed in box) copy of Fight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight?

I got mine at Best Buy a couple of years ago, on a flying (har!) visit to the US. Cheap too, only $29 then - and that was before FSX came out.

Lucky... Best Buy doesn't carry FS2004 anymore, only FSX.  I tried a google search and found only 1 new copy on Amazon, but it $75.00 (ouch).

I own four copies of fs2004 at the moment.  On the first one the disk #4 decided to stop working as did one of the others (couldn't read the disks for reinstalling stuff anymore).  The second copy I bought is the one I am now using.  And I have two brand new "in the box" copies waiting in the wings in case anything happens to the one I am using.

They were dirt cheap at CompUSA a the time I bought them....well after FSX came out.  That is a good "safety strategy" if you find you are going to be tied to a piece of software for a long period.  Now a new copy of FS2004 is likely a "rare" item...and will command a good price.

As you can see, I am planning on staying with fs2004 for some time into the future!   ;)

I figure it will be at least two more years before I can get fs2004 running to the level that I want it to, what with all the add-ons I'm using and at the smoothness I want (powerful new main FS machine needed).

Plus the simpit I use is configured around fs2004....so re-doing all THAT stuff will be a huge investment in time.

I haven't seen fs2004 in the stores in a LONG while.

best,

...........john

Curious JBaymore, is it a hassle to get #4 disc from MS?

The only two Best Buy stores that still have it are in Chesterfield, Virginia and Wichita, Kansas.  I called and they said that they will not ship it to me or a local Best Buy in my area (some policy).  The customer service representative in Virginia actually told me to drive down and pick it up (Right!  From Massachusetts at $4 a gallon!)

I have three copies, two of which are still in the shrinkwrap. I got them all at BB when it became clear to me that FSX was too much for my computer. I thought $20 a copy was a bit much at the time but now that it is impossible to get FS9, that twenty bucks a shot is chickenfeed. I'm pleased with myself that I was smart enough to invest in the multitude of copies...
My system: AMD Phenom 9500 cpu, 2 x eVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked vidcards (640Mb DDR3 each), Zalman "sunflower" 9700 fan, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo, 4Gb G.Skill PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz RAM, 2 x Sony 20X DVD writers, Thermaltake Toughpower 8
