SR-71 afterburner

good evening i just download the SR-71 from here....http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military170.htm

I can not figure out how to kick on the afterburner's...would anyone know how?

Same here. The afterburner from Bob Chicilo/Richard Barker works when you go full throttle.

Some times the AB flame doesn't show up until you hit the "l" key to turn on the lights, but that doesn't even work for the flame effect for this version. It could be that it's just not in the code for this particular version. :P

But there's probably a "tweak" around here somewhere.

I don't have that version, and I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but the SR-71 from Alphasim is freeware now, and it looks pretty good. (AB works too

This same question was asked in the FSX forum and answered.  I used the config for the other SR-71 (I don't know if that's the Alphasim model), and cut and pasted the afterburner effects lines from that one into the cfg "[lights]", modified the line numbers for the proper sequence, and it works like a charm.

I've not used it some some time now but an Alphasim aircraft I had used the F4 key to turn the afterburner on/off.  The EE Lightning I think it was.

thanks for the info about the afterburner... i havent had a chance yet to try them...but if i cant get them to work looks like the AC is going to be deleted and then download the one from alphasim. 8-)
