sorry if this is old hash, but i couldn't find with search....heading indicator is set incorrectly press D....i press and press but it just does not go away.....maybe its a haunting......
i7-7700k ....msi geforce gtx 1060....msi z270 gaming m5 lga 1151 motherboard....CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) ram.....

Misunderstanding, yancovitch, pressing 'D' only corrects 'magnetic deviation,' the tendency for compass bearings to change in the course of a long flight, due to variations in the Earth's magnetic field at different latitudes.

We'll need more information on what you're trying to do before we can help further. If you simply mean 'putting in the correct heading to your destination' there's no automatic way of doing that, you have to do it manually. Except, of course, that if you've made a Flight Plan and the autopilot's on, pressing 'GPS Hold' will keep you on track.
