I don't know if this will help you but it sure did me, I got a joystick that put it all right there. You know the pich, the yaw, the colletive. I use the the WingMan Extreme Digital 3D, and the is made by Logitech. I am sorry I can't give you any pointers on how to fly a Helio or as most would say helicopter, me personaly I just set at the computer 2-3 hours a day for about a week tell I got the hang of flying a helicopter. I do know that when you are trying to straighten the tail out on a helio, you want to be easy applying power to the tail rotar. Hope this helps at lest a little. Good luck for a fellow simer.

The first thing to do is to go here: www.hovercontrol.com

They have excellent forums with helpful members that can help you get started and be successful with choppers.
The next thing is to simply start simple and work your way up to more advanced maneuvers, and practice, practice, practice! Remember, helicopters need constant use of the cyclic (joystick), collective ("throttle"), and anti-torque pedals ("rudder pedals").

I would just ask around at hovercontrol, and I'm sure they can give you some pointers. Also, they have a system there were you can log on to their server and have one of their instructors help you in real-time.

Good Luck! Once you master helicopters, you'll find them to be tons of fun!  ;)

In FS9 (and earlier versions of FS) DON'T have the realism settings maxed out for helicopter flying. Alas the modelling doesn't work that well. Turn down the torque a bit and you'll find things much more realistic ;)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
