does anyone know what may be causing my clouds to look like that?

Have you added anything new recently like silver wings or anything else in the way of new scenery. 8-)

That's what happens when you remove your Super-Dooper, nVidia 8800GTS 512 Mb, PCI-e graphics card, and replace it with a 2D, S3 Virge 4Mb, PCI card... ::)...!

I have had this problem, and the only way to fix it that I have found is to increase the resolution (from WITHIN the sim, a global setting didn't help me) Hopefully I helped.  :)
