Help! Afterburner and tail strike effects

Postby pilothunt » Thu Nov 01, 2007 10:07 am

The afterburner for Kirk Olssen's F-16 doesn't work for me.  Any ideas?  Finally, how do I get rid of that riduculous tail strike spark effect?  I don't think an airplane's tail sparks in the air after a tail strike.

I'm not sure about the tail strike effects, but you need to have DSB's Eurofighter Typhoon installed for the afterburner effect to show. (Inside the Viper aircraft folder is a folder called "documentation". Tells you all about it)

If it's a POSKY aircraft you're having the tail strikes with, simple delete the file opensky_sparks.fx in the main Effects folder...I hate them too :P

Went ahead a took out the opensky_sparks in the main FS9 effects folder.  Wasn't enough.  I then went to the FS9/aircraft/Boeing 767 Opensky aircraft.cfg and took out the: concrete=Opensky_sparks, 1 under the effects subsection.  Works like a champ for all the opensky airplanes.  Going to take me awhile to delete the line but no more sparks is worth it!!
