Archer II download

Postby Cessna156 » Sun Oct 14, 2007 6:14 pm

It appears as though I have downloaded an Archer II successfully (It is showing up in the aircraft folder and can be selected from the sim), but once I select "fly now" the desktop appears and I am out of the sim. Any help with this?

Which Archer II did you download. Can you provide a link to it so we can have a look?

Did you mess with nay of the files in the main FS folder? How about placing everything where it is supposed to be?

Some add-ons require GaugeSound.dll in the Main FS folder or the Sim simply crashes...Make sure you drop that file in... ;) ;)

...mmm...If it is the archerii_ph_kax2.zip from here on SimV then it is probably as Ash says....

The file is included in the download but depending on how you installed it, it could be missing from your Fs9 folder......the Readme file (did you read this?) includes this statement..

Quote:-   "To prevent FS 2004 from crashing, the file GaugeSound.dll must be present either in the Flight Simulator 9 or in the Windows\system32 directory. Also, the file r_c_PA28stall.wav must be in the Flight Simulator 9\Sound directory. Both files are in this .zip and will be in place after unzipping it into the Flight Simulator 9 directory."

If you unzipped to your desktop which is a safer option and not directly to the Fs9 Folder...then you will probably have to put a copy in manually........Please read the installation readme though..........

..good luck...commoner ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. This was downloaded to the desktop, so some manual installation of files may be necessary. ill look into that tonight.

This Archer was downloaded from page 96 Props.

I was also beginning to wonder about the alias issue as well. Could this be a factor with this download?
