Are you sure you downloaded the aircraft itself, and not just a repaint?

I just checked out the Hawk T Mk 1 package on that page. When you extract the zipfile look for a folder named Aircraft. This contains 3 folders named DSB HWK_RAF_CL, DSB HWK_RAF_CN & DSB HWK_RAF_DISP.* To install the Hawk paste these 3 folders into the FS9\Aircraft folder. This will give you numerous variations of the BAE Systems Hawk T.1/A

To complete the installation paste the contents of the Effects & Gauges folders to FS9\Effects & FS9\Gauges respectively.

*PS. The last two are aliased to DSB HWK_RAF_CL. You must have this one installed for the others to display on the menu.

Do you mean to say that you can't find the plane on your aircraft list in the sim, or you put the plane in your FS9 aircraft folder, and now you can't find it?
