Correct time

Postby jimm57 » Sun Aug 26, 2007 11:41 am

Hi all,
have a time warp going on. I live on the US East coast. When I start a flight in Seattle WA (West Coast), the time of day shows my local east coast time, and when I start a flight on the East coast, the time is wrong, not my local time.

In the settings I have use system time, and thats set at East coast. How do I correct this time off set?

Thanks.

Are you still using the C172 @ Seattle as the default flight? (or any other airport in the Pacific time zone?)

In 'Create a Flight' the sim takes the system time and uses that as the current time at the airport/timezone in the 'default flight'. It then makes the timezone offset for the airport you select to start at.

Create a flight at your hometown airport, or anywhere in your timezone, and save it as the default flight.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

FS is the pits when it comes to time zones they do not recreate the time as you fly from one zone to another. There is a payware program called real time or something like that but I have to caution you if you use slew or increase the sim rate it will mess up real time and cause it to loose track of the propper time frame. So if you have this program you are stuck flying in real time which is not that bad except for those long 8 + hour flights when you are tempted to speed things up some. 8-)
