i had to delete all my FS2004 folder due to a corrupt file which i couldnt locate so FS2004 wouldnt start..hundreds of planes gone and HUNDREDS of AI airlines gone..
=[
I know how upsetting that can be, but for future reference, if a file in fs9 becomes corrupted, simply uninstall then reinstall. that way you won't lose your add-ons. (The fs9 uninstall will only remove the standard fs9 files and folders, leaving add-ons untouched)
May I add that mods that change default files will be deleted.... so Flight Environment and Ground Environment and other such mods will probably not work properly.

Yup, that's true, :-[ I forgot about that. But the planes would still be there.
