Aircraft.cfg............................I Think?

Postby BuzzDatAzz » Sun Jul 01, 2007 12:07 am

I am having a problem my 727-200. I cannot get A/T to engage. No matter what panel I use I get the same result. I think I need to alter the Aircraft.cfg file.

Does anyone know how to alter this file so that the A/T will work? I don't thin it is the panel.cfg , bcause I get the same result no matter what panel I use. Maybe I could add the A/T section of one of my functioning aircraft.cfg and just copy and paste it into the problem aircraft.cfg. Only thing is I don't know what section of the aircraft.cfg controls A/T.

Thanks in Advance for you help!!!

I'm just shooting in the dark here, but could it be that the function is not modeled in? I'm not that far in learning to model.

After you are airborne and you have selected A/P if the A/T does not work try SHIFT + R then reselect A/S hold... should work now as indicated by the "light" coming on by the A/S switch.  I find I have to do this on most flights and with nearly all aircraft.  Found this fix on another forum somewhere.  Hope it works for you.     Cheers,

Make sure that the [autopilot] section in your aircraft.cfg contains the following lines:

autothrottle_available=1
autothrottle_arming_required=1

This will only work if the panel you are using has autothrottle switches modelled (most 727s didn't have autothrottle) - you'll need to switch on the autothrottle and then the speed hold switches. If your panel only has a speed hold switch and no autothrottle switch, change the second line above to read 0 rather than 1.
