which program shuts down evertything but FS2004?

i remember a program that closed down unneeded applications and processes so it was near enough 100% flight sim 2004 that was running

can anyone remind me of it?

'FS Autostart' by Ken Salter I believe.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

yeh that sounds about right

thanks. i thought i remembered seeing it in someones sig where it said to get better graphics or something by using this tool  :o

By itself, it won't necessarily give you better graphics.

What it does is allows you to shut down un-needed processes before starting the sim. This will give the sim a bigger share of your system resources, CPU time and memory, to use.
