..they are much too expensive... :'(....

..and I only have an AGP slot...(in my Motherboard!... :o... :o... :o...)...!

DITTO I just have a AGP slot and I agree they are just to expensive. Besides that DX 10 is not even out yet so I not sure if these cards will do well using DX9. That could be your issue. The 8800 series was made to support DX10 so it might not work well with dx9. 8-)
