Google an app called F1View.  It's similar to ActiveCam in many ways, but freeware.

On a side note, I've not yet been able to get it to run in conjunction with recorder...not sure if that's a conflict or if I just goofed on the install.

actually you can, but here comes the next problem. you cant do it by default, they removed that after FS2000 didnt they? anyway, i have a program called Mouse-as-Yoke (googled) and so i installed that, but it doesnt work. i set the location of install to the FS9 main folder and nothing is working... the readme is vague on how to set it up so i have no idea.. the website is repeatidly going on and off the net so i cant get onto the tutorials page

any help?

cheers

i was able to get on the site, and under FAQ i seen this

PROBLEM
I run MAY2004.  After the Lovett Software title video, Flight Simulator starts to run itself.  Then I see a message regarding the [FSUIPC] module by Peter Dowson saying;-
"One or more programs you are using is not accredited for access to an unregistered copy of FSUIPC...."
After you click the 'Ok' button, MAY2004 does not seem to control the aircrafts.

SOLUTION
Please try running Flight Simulator first. then, once past the initial Startup screen of Flight Simulator, run MAY2004.

http://www.lovettsoftware.fsnet.co.uk/M ... ctions.htm = instructions page

incase that is offline, here they are

The Configuration Settings module is where you go to configure MAY2004 for the correct version of Flight Simulator.
Please ensure that you click the appropriate button on the Configuration Settings screen for the appropriate version of Flight simulator that you wish MAY2004 to interact with. Please also be aware that if you have a non English version of Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004, you should pay particular attention to the Text in the Textbox marked [Main application title]. If the Titlebar text of Flight Simulator is not exactly replicated in this box on the Configuration Settings screen, you will need to edit it to make it identical.
Note:- You can see the Titlebar text of Flight Simulator when Flight Simulator is running by pressing the ALT&Enter keys at the same time (to put Flight Simulator into Windowed mode if its currently in Full-screen mode).
For example, on my English copy of Flight Simulator 2004, the Titlebar text of FS2004 reads "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century Of Flight". Therefore when I click the [Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century Of Flight] button on the Configuration Settings screen to configure MAY2004 for use with FS2004, the text that is displayed in the box marked [Main application title] is "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century Of Flight".
The French version of FS2004 may have "Simulateur De Vol De Microsoft 2004 - Un Si
