Really Quick Question..............

Postby BuzzDatAzz » Thu Jun 07, 2007 11:23 am

OK here's the deal:

If you change your squawk during an IFR flight, is there a way to find oout what your original squawk code is? I changed mine by acknowledging a hand off and now I don't get the course changes and instruction that I was getting from the start of my flight.

Thanks in advance for the help! 8-)

I think you can open the kneeboard and one of the boxes there you can check all the messages you have had from ATC for the entire flight, if ATC has cancelled your IFR plan though, I think the only thing you can do is reset it.....

Thanks.

What would cause ATC to cancel your flight plan?

If you don't do what they tell you.

Thanks guys that helped! I had to go into the ATC menu and open the IFR flight plan again, and then you choose no the starting at the deoparting airport and you will have radar contact again according to your IFR.

Thanks Again. ;D

Get yourself a REAL pilot's kneeboard (or make one out of an old clipboard and some elastic).  Clamp it on your leg and do what real pilots do.... wite down the stuff that ATC terlls you for future reference....and to make sure you get it right.

It adds a lot of realism.

best,
