Have you tried increasing the texture size in settings?

Most of what I know of are payware.  I use FScene for some of the world.

Ground Enviroment Pro

It does not get any better and it is payware

Combine that with Ultimate Terrain USA, Canda and Europe and put in FSGenesis mesh/USA Landclass and you cant make the world look much more realsitic in FS9

I use FS Global SE for the mesh, and VOZ (with Koorbygen) for all the glorious, coloured buildings, roads, textures, etc, Flight Water Pro, and Gerrish Grey's Tree sets.... :-*...!
..the list goes on...!!

They all bring FS 2004 alive... :)...!

As I see it, if you have already all those packages and still are unsatisfied, you should search for a good, accurate landclass for the zones you fly on. Though UT had a good landclass indeed, I know there are better around.

The problem with UT is sometimes users tend to enable ALL the features which makes things look unrealistic. If properly set up the enhanced lighting does not want to be enabled but that one is by personal choice, but, the FS9 default bridges and other objects must be set to removed. You also have to be careful with the additional suburb roads features because some of them simply lay too much down and make it all look like a silly grid that is totally fake. Streams want to be resized and I can not remember the number used but I think it was either 1 or -1. There are many settings that are, and are not enabled with that package if you want it to look right.

There are updates out there that overlay UT for the missing or moved elements such as QLRP4UT http://www.qlrp4ut.com/
