Noooooooooo....

Postby Kaworu » Wed Apr 04, 2007 6:46 pm

Well...heres a wierd problem for those of you who have superior mind! I'll cut to the chase. When ever I try to run FS Repainter, it comes up with a file that says that:

"A configuration file is invalid or not found. A neew configuration file will be created with default values."

This has been occurring since I started to use the program. Now, whenever I click on okay it brings up a

"DirectX Error" screen. In it, it says "There is no 3D device suitable to run the program. check your available video memory (10 mb free at least) or video mode (16 bit/pixel at least)"

What the heck is causing this, and why? :o How can I fix it!?!

This kind of weirdness is usually put aright by a reinstall of either the last version of DirectX or the newest version of the videocard drivers (or both).

Do just so and see how it goes.

It didn't work. I'm only running the demo! At this point, I don't like the software! :'(

Try seeing if there's a troubleshooting section of the readme files. Or ask directly to the program coder on his email. Seems something pretty technical and related to the program itself. :-/

PS
The fact that asks for more video-memory... you aren't using it at the same time as FS, aren't you? If you are it's probable that FS takes away enough video memory to leave this software high and dry.

No, I would never try to run them simultaneously. My rig would die if I tried to do that. I don't really care. I just wanted a faster way to repaint aircraft to my personal-fictional airline, Bauder-Jets Charters.
